AAAS Report: What We Know

From an AAAS report just out, "What We Know: The Reality, Risks and Response to Climate Change":
“The evidence is overwhelming: Levels of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere are rising. Temperatures are going up. Springs are arriving earlier. Ice sheets are melting. Sea level is rising. The patterns of rainfall and drought are changing. Heat waves are getting worse, as is extreme precipitation. The oceans are acidifying.”
Justin Gillis has more at the New York Times.

Hard to imagine one more report will do anything, but at least history will know who not to blame.

I am at the American Chemical Society national meeting in Dallas. Several years ago, it was possible to hear chemists echo the incognoscenti or the denialisti. No longer. The theme of the meeting is Chemistry and Materials for Energy.
